CEOs of Nottingham companies are raising vital funds for charities tackling local homelessness
On the 6th November, business leaders from across Nottingham will come together for the CEO Sleepout, a fundraising event where participants spend a night sleeping outdoors to raise awareness and funds to tackle homelessness. Matt and Rachel will also be taking part! All proceeds will be given to local charities working in the sector:
Grace Enterprises: Creates supportive jobs for individuals with lived experience of homelessness. This is through its Wilford-based biscuit business, Half the Story, and its two other social enterprises - Radiant Cleaners and Jubilee Events.
The Friary: A West Bridgford based drop-in centre providing practical services, advice and emotional support to those with lived experience.
Emmanuel House: A drop-in centre based in the city centre, Emmanuel House also runs Nottingham’s Winter Shelter.
Notts County Foundation: Works with people across Nottingham to create healthier, happier, and stronger diverse communities.

The money raised will be invaluable to the charities’ work. Matt Parfitt, the CEO of Grace Enterprises who is also sleeping out on the 6th November, shared about why the event is so important:
“Missing one night's sleep is a tiny sacrifice if it helps raise funds and awareness about the issues that many of our team - and my friends - have faced. This event will raise funds to provide extra supportive and sustainable employment, giving hope, purpose and dignity to more people on the margins.”
