Life-Changing Partnerships: The Randal Charitable Foundation

We wanted to spotlight one of our funders - the Randal Charitable Foundation, who have supported Half the Story in its mission to create life-changing jobs through great-tasting biscuits!

Founded by Dr Nik and Moni Kotecha, the Randal Foundation has saved or significantly improved 1 million lives globally, supporting various charities and enterprises in their missions.

Half the Story are privileged to be one of the Randal Charitable Foundation's beneficiaries. Their support has enabled us to expand the bakery, so that we can create even more life-changing jobs for those who need it.

We've already seen the positive social impact created by having the Randal Charitable Foundation support Half the Story's work.

Of the 28 team members that we have employed since 2023, 21 still work at Half the Story, whilst four successfully moved into a new job. That's 25 lives that have been been impacted not just with a quick fix, but long-term employment that enables sustainable life change.

Moreover, 95% of employees that had experienced major barriers to work agreed that working for Half the Story affected their life positively (August 2025). The same demographic experienced a 17% average increase in wellbeing since they first started working at Half the Story, and their most recent review. The two most positively impacted areas were ‘purpose & meaning’ (44% increase) and ‘confidence & self esteem’ (35% increase).
