Head of Communications

Position Title: Head of Communications

Location: Nottingham (city centre)

Working Hours: 25 - 37.5 hours per week, depending on availability and experience

Terms: permanent contract with a six-month probationary period

Remuneration: £32,000-£35,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement a bold communications strategy for the charity and its social enterprise trading subsidiaries

  • Lead a small and dynamic comms team

  • Manage marketing budgets and track ROI

  • Contribute to grant applications and manage donor communications

  • Provide strategic input as part of the Executive Team

  • Play a key role in launching new ventures and growing the profile of the social enterprises

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Dynamic and adaptable, comfortable in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead people

  • Proven track record in implementing a communications strategy

  • Expertise in a variety of digital tools, including website editors

  • Mission-driven with a desire to further the charity’s aims and promote the value of church-based businesses

  • Visionary, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
